Hibbing Public Schools November 2025 Referendum

For over a century, Hibbing Public Schools has reflected the spirit and strength of our community. From our talented teachers and staff to our high graduation rates and great local partnerships, we are proud of our legacy and committed to our mission: providing an excellent education to help every student reach their full potential.

Hibbing Public Schools has worked hard to live within our means, but our district faces growing financial challenges due to the rising costs of education, inflation, and unfunded government mandates. Despite making painful budget decisions – including eliminating 34 staff positions this past spring – Hibbing Schools is facing a funding shortfall of $2.6 million. 

For more than 15 years, our district hasn’t asked for voter-approved funding — but now it’s needed to preserve the quality education our community expects and our students deserve.

On Tuesday, November 4, 2025, district voters will consider a two-question referendum that would allow us to stabilize our district’s budget and continue the great legacy of Hibbing Public Schools.
